Mission
The Table Tennis Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (TTVMV) is dedicated to the promotion of table tennis. We support table tennis clubs, encourage people of all ages and genders, and strengthen integrative cooperation. Through youth development programmes, the training of coaches and referees, we ensure sustainable sporting development. We increase membership by organising tournaments in recreational, senior and youth sports in order to foster interest in regular sporting activities and to strengthen community life. In cooperation with the German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) and the State Sports Federation, we represent the interests of our members and uphold ethical values.
Recent Achievements
- Representation in the Association Premier League 2025/2026 with two men’s teams and one women’s team
- German Individual Championships 2025, Seniors 40 Doubles, 3rd place: Marvin Dietz
- German Individual Championships 2025, Seniors 40 Mixed, 2nd place: Marvin Dietz
- German Team Championships 2025, Senior Women 60, 3rd place: TSV Rostock Süd
- Northern German Team Champion 2025, Senior Women 60: TSV Rostock Süd
- Northern German Individual Championships 2025, Seniors 85 Doubles, 1st place: Georg Weckbach / Peter Holz
- Northern German Individual Championships 2025, Senior Women and Men, 5 × Silver, 8 × Bronze
Facts about the TTVMV
The Table Tennis Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (TTVMV) was founded in April 1990 from the district committees of Neubrandenburg, Rostock, and Schwerin. Today, 4,010 athletes are organised within the TTVMV in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. They play table tennis in 133 clubs. The TTVMV is divided into three competition districts (West, Northeast, Southeast). At present, 442 teams participate in active league play, forming the foundation for competitive sport. The sporting programme is complemented by ranking tournaments, championships, and numerous major competitions organised by the clubs.
The TTVMV is dedicated to the promotion of table tennis, encompassing grassroots, health, and competitive sports.
The objectives of the TTVMV for the coming years are as follows:
- Improvement of the quality of education and advanced training for coaches and referees as a basis for sporting development at all levels.
- Stabilisation of youth development work, with particular focus on enhancing performance-oriented programmes at the four regional training centres (local training opportunities across the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). Talent development is further supported through central training camps for squad players.
- Thanks to the equipment provided by our partner GEWO, we aim to create optimal conditions for young athletes.
- By intensifying initiatives such as “Play Along”, mini championships, recreational table tennis and others, we intend to expand opportunities in grassroots sports and thereby lay the foundation for further growth in membership.
- Promotion of integration by involving everyone in joint club activities.
